Nancy (Holderbaum) Amelung, 85, of Minerva, died Friday, March 31, 2017, in St. Luke Lutheran Community in Minerva.
She was born Nov. 20, 1931, in Minerva to John and Helen (Markham) Dowling. She had worked at Colmach, Minerva Local Schools, Structural Stoneware and Fisher's Big Wheel all in Minerva. She is a member of the Minerva First Christian Church and graduated from Minerva High School in 1951.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Bucky Amelung in 2011, and Jack Holderbaum in 1973; two sons, Jim and Kim Holderbaum; son-in-law, Billie Nelson; and two brothers, Bob and LeRoy Dowling. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Nelson of Groveland, Fla., and Carole (Willie) Martin of Minerva; two daughters-in-law, Beth Holderbaum of Minerva, and Debbie Holderbaum of Minerva; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 3 in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
