Members of the Donald G. Whetstone Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4120 and Don V. Cross American Legion Post 357 gathered in Minerva's Veterans Park on Nov. 11, Veterans Day, to express gratitude to veterans and honor their "most remarkable achievement - freedom," according to VFW Commander Paul Hawkins.

American Legion Chaplain Chuck Custer opened and closed the short observance with prayer and members of the two organizations performed a three-volley salute, followed by a recording of "Taps."
