Minerva Police Report

On March 31, 1:22 p.m. David Snow, Newark, posted bond on a warrant out of Minerva Mayor's Court for failure to appear for speeding. Information was obtained for a report and the warrant canceled.

On March 31, 4:33 p.m. police received a report for a civil incident on Liberty St. Information was obtained for a report.

On March 31, 6:35 p.m. police received a report for vandalism to a vehicle on W. Plain St. Information was obtained for a report.

On April 1, 12:23 a.m. while on a traffic stop police charged Markie White, Minerva, with driving under suspension, rear view mirrors clear to front and drug abuse. Information was obtained for a report and White is scheduled to appear in Alliance Municipal Court and Minerva Mayor's Court.

On April 1, 1:12 a.m. police received a report for a missing person from a business on Carolyn Court. After a brief investigation the person was found safe. Information was obtained for a report.

On April 1, 12:04 p.m. police received a report for harassment from a residence on Hart Ave. Information was obtained for a report.

On April 2, 8:20 a.m. police arrested Josef Zeidrich, Minerva, on a warrant out of Columbiana County Sheriff's Office for failure to appear for driving under the influence. Information was obtained for a report and Zeidrich was turned over to Columbiana County Sheriff's Office.

On April 2, 9:39 a.m. police arrested Ashley Bryant, Minerva, on a warrant out of Minerva Mayor's Court for failure to pay fines and cost for driving under suspension. Information was obtained for a report. Bryant posted bond and the warrant canceled.

On April 2, 11:48 a.m. Amy Griffith, Minerva posted bond on a warrant out of Minerva Mayor's Court for failure to pay fines and cost for driving under suspension. Information was obtained for a report and the warrant canceled.

On April 2, 2:33 p.m. police received a report for an overdose on Main St. Sandy Creek EMS responded to the scene. Information was obtained for a report.

On April 2, 8:10 p.m. police received a report for found property of a credit card found on Rt. 183. Attempts to locate the owner were unsuccessful. The property will be held at the Minerva Police department to be claimed by the owner.

On April 3, 10:41 p.m. while investigating an incident police arrested Michael Smith, Minerva, for possession of drugs schedule II, possession of marijuana, possession of drugs cocaine, possession of drug abuse instruments, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of dangerous drugs. Information was obtained for a report. Smith was transported to Carroll County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Carroll County Court.

On April 4, 10:33 a.m. police arrested Derek Ring, Carrollton, on a warrant out of Minerva Mayor's Court for failure to appear for one way streets. Information was obtained for a report and Ring is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

On April 4, 6:09 p.m. police received a report for a domestic dispute at a residence on Jackson St. Information was obtained for a report.

On April 6, 12:53 a.m. while on a traffic stop police arrested Carlos Cook, Minerva, for driving under the influence and traffic control device. Information was obtained for a report and Cook is scheduled to appear in Alliance Municipal Court.

On April 7, 3:28 a.m. police received a report for an accident in the area of N. Market St. and Rt. 183 bypass. Charged was Brian Teeters, Akron, for driving under the influence and reasonable control. Information was obtained for a report and Teeters is scheduled to appear in Alliance Municipal Court.

On April 7, 7:48 a.m. Samuel Smith, Amsterdam, posted bond on a warrant out of Minerva Mayor's Court for failure to pay fines and cost for seatbelt required, signals before changing course and texting while driving. Information was obtained for report and the warrant was canceled.

Accidents

March 27, 3:57 p.m. a vehicle operated by John Suter IV, Canton, struck a vehicle operated by Megan McDermott, Malvern, on the corner of Line St. and Market St. No injuries and light damage reported.

On April 7, 3:30 a.m. a vehicle operated by Brian Teeters, Akron, failed to stop at a stop sign on Market St., crossed Rt. 183 and came to a stop in a small stream. No injuries and damage to the vehicle reported. Teeters was cited for driving under the influence and failure to control. Teeters is scheduled to appear in Alliance Municipal Court.
